Done, and now dead. I’ll come back to life in a few days, no promises.

An Art Trade I’m currently working on.

I don’t post nearly enough. Sadly I don’t get motivated to really finish sketches unless people push me - like I finish things if that art has a home to go to or someone is looking forward to seeing it? I don’t tend to do much for myself, which is silly (and I only do when I’m looking for an excuse out).

I hate this hair style, but its a popular one so I deal with drawing it pretty often. As soon as I finish it, the rest of the image should go pretty fast. I just procrastinate when coloring in that hair - ugh.

Ryuubachi’s fantroll, Archar. He’s an absolute cutie and omg - I’ve been drawing him for like the last 3 hours? I swear half the time was me closing the program and then opening it again because I was going to stop, but it kept tempting me back. At least my art block seems to be broken because I want to just fart art now. Ugh, except I don’t know what to draw still.

Anywho, I hope it turned out okay and I didn’t miss something. I almost forgot his ears oh my.

As much as I like this style above all others, it sure does take a while to finish something. Just means I need more practice and I’m too lazy… Oh and the hand and arm doesn’t look right (mostly because the hand is TINY like WTF was I smoking), but I am so beyond caring at this point. The sexy feet make up for it.

Now not a doodle.

Someone mentioned drawing a Swallow Tailed Kite gryphon and so I made one that’s part Snow Leopard. The sad thing about making this particular bird into a gryphon is that it loses its very distinct tail when I morph it.

So yea, I’m thinking of maybe messing around with doing some gryphons that have kitty paws and legs but with bird tail-feathers? I’m not too partial on talons so any excuse to draw cute, soft paws always works for me.

I’ve seen a lot of people with unique griffons and I’ve always wondered how they looked up all these different birds and holy-smokes, how many different birds are even out there for people to mess around with? Well I’m in a Field Studies class for birds and I have guide for just birds in the Northwest. There are a lot of different types of birds. A lot.

I’ve always wanted a cute little griffon so I decided to model this guy after a Bullock’s Oriole. (Since its my quest bird which I will be looking for on my 4-day camping trip to a ranger’s station.) Its definitely male since males and females look different. But yes, I might mess around with more since there are so many pretty birds, you have no idea - or maybe you do.

Thanks for giving me a prompt chocohashbrown.

Although I don’t exactly follow One Piece, its one of the animes I enjoy catching snippets of. I’m not sure if that make sense or not, because I’m odd in the sense that I fall in love with series without even having watched or read them - or just seen parts of them? Like Homestuck, I love following the fandom through the fans, but I haven’t been able to actually get myself to go through the website myself. People make me fall in love with things. I blame you, people of the world.

Anyway, this be Luffy. I think this is actually my first real fanart? I don’t really do fanart since I don’t think I do the character’s justice. But, this time, I think it came out okay? Well except the hands, one looks sharp while the other looks a little round, but you know, he’s made of rubber - its okay to be out of shape a tiny bit.

Shameless fanart of sunbearbutts / lynn’s character. I’m not sure if this pretty has a name or not but she’s a koi mermaid! Lynn, you have so many fabulous characters but I’m pretty terrible at drawing cutey little animals so I had to go through your humanoid creatures and this baby, she is precious. I hope you like it.

Edit; The original image is about 2-3 times the size it’s showing it as. Er, well I like to draw big and this painting style just works better with big images.

So I just finished finals and then promptly had a dream where I got a D on one of my tests and cried bloody tears. I like how it was a D instead of an F, but whatever. Dreams are funny like that.

Anyway here, have some head-shots of a male Hoothoot Gijinka I was sort of working on and a female Cyndaquil gijinka.

Completed Illumise Gijinka - it turned out pretty well if I do say so myself. You guys have no idea (actually, you probably do, but I’m trying to prove a point here) how therapeutic it is to just draw because you want to or have the luxury to finish it on your own time. Like, the 5 minutes you have between running between the theoretical fires that seem to be happening in your house.

Incomplete Illumise Gijinka that I’m working on and off on. I really like the painter-y style because I can just chaotically slap colors on there and then later go back and flesh it out and make it more detailed, well sort of. I’m not exactly good at that part, but learning is half the fun. Just doing this as a stress reliever… now back to my commissions.

As you can tell by the little icon in the corner, this image is actually pretty damn huge, heh.

A drifloon Gijinka of sort. I decided to try out a painterly style and I actually really like it. The style, not the picture. I cannot do curly hair, as you can see. I need to go find more references for that, but it doesn’t look half-bad at least… well okay, its half-bad and half-good.
